Here are some more tips that may help you when using this product: 1) Make sure to apply the strips to your lower teeth first (it says this in the instructions but I didn’t show this in the video) 2) Align the edge of the strip with your gum line so that it overlaps onto your gums as little as possible…the whitening agent can cause irritation and even white bleach spots on your gums (which fades overnight but still…can’t be good)..this applies for the backside of your teeth as well 3) I brush my teeth after use and usually clean my lips and apply chapstick, since this product can dry them out a little bit I hope you enjoy this product and your newly blinged out teeth!! If you have been considering teeth whitening, then you have probably heard of the teeth whitening strips available for sale. This is a convenient product to be used at home, and these strips are made from polyethylene coated with hydrogen peroxide. The hydrogen peroxide is a bleaching agent, and there are normally two sets of strips within a whitening kit. One of the strips is designed for the lower teeth, and the other strip is intended to be used on the top teeth. To begin the whitening process, you will start to bleach your teeth by pressing the strips onto the surface of your teeth. You have to leave the teeth whitening strips in place for up to 30 minutes over 14 days, depending upon the strength of the product that you have purchased. There are different strength consistencies available in over-the-counter teeth whitening strips, ranging from 6% to 10%. Many people prefer the use of the whitening strips because they are more comfortable than a teeth whitening tray, and they can be used for a shorter amount of time. However, a downfall to teeth whitening strips is that they rely upon hydrogen peroxide for the whitening process. Hydrogen peroxide has to be used in a high concentration to whiten the teeth so it is often not recommended by dentists. Many dentists also do not recommend using this ingredient at home. Dentists commonly recommend carbamide peroxide to whiten the teeth in a teeth whitening tray. Hydrogen peroxide also poses potential side effects of gum irritation and sensitive teeth. These are only temporary side effects, but if they do occur, you will need to use less of a concentration of the bleaching agent. The lower concentration will give the same result as a higher concentration, but it will take longer in the process. There are other teeth whitening products that can be used at home, such as custom-made dental trays made by your dentist. These are often preferred to use because they will not cause irritation since they do not contact the gums. These custom trays are becoming more widely available if you are seeing a cosmetic dentist for treatment. A custom-made tray to be used at home can be more affordable than an in office dental teeth bleaching treatment. Depending upon your budget and lifestyle, you may want to consider the use of the custom-made dental tray for at-home teeth whitening because it is accurate since it is fitted to your mouth. This product is much more effective because it will not cause any side effects of gum irritation and teeth sensitivity since it is fitted perfectly to the shape of your teeth. This custom-made tray may be slightly more expensive than the whitening strips bought over the counter, but it will provide long-term and accurate results in sparkling teeth!
