I’m from Philadelphia and when I was growing up there wasn’t flouride in the (tap) drinking water and the dentists have said that it looks like my teeth never formed correctly because of this, apparently I didn’t get enough flouride at one point and too much later on. This has left my teeth a yellowish color and spotty. I’ve used the 2 hour trays and such but nothing helps. I’ve heard of lazer whitening (however I’m in the Navy and they won’t pay for that) and I was wondering if anyone had the same kind of problem and if anything worked or did they just go to a dentist.
Yes I do use toothpaste thank you, however when you’re a year old or so and your parents are teaching you how to brush your teeth, you do not use toothpaste because most small children will swollow it. In order for your teeth to form correctly, you need to get flouride at a very young age, when there isn’t flouride in the water you have ot depend on vitamins that I never wanted to take as a small child (and i’m kicking myself for it now). I brush my teeth 3 times a day, however now that I’m an adult it don’t matter if I brush them 2 or 20 times a day, it’s not going to impact on the way that my teeth formed 10 years ago.
